Mississippi State has opened as a 13-point favorite to the Arkansas Razorbacks for next Saturday's SEC West showdown in Starkville, according to sports betting site BetOnline.com. As you can see if you visit the site, the line has already moved down slightly to -12.5.
The Bulldogs are coming off of a 45-31 road win over the Kentucky Wildcats, while the Razorbacks, who are 4-4 on the season, are coming off of a nice 45-17 win at home over UAB. This line is about where I would expect it to be, and my guess is that it will sit in the 13-point vicinity throughout the week. The Razorbacks are a better football team than their 4-4 record indicates, and I expect them to give State a good game. With that being said, the Bulldogs to matchup well with the Arkansas offense, so I could, for the first time ever****, be wrong.
The Bulldogs and Razorbacks will kick off week ten of the 2014 season on Saturday (6:15 p.m. CT) in a game that will be televised by ESPN2.
Here are a few other lines of note for the upcoming week of the 2014 college football season:
Florida State -6.5 at Louisville
Florida vs. -12 Georgia
TCU -4 at West Virginia
Auburn at -3 Ole Miss
Stanford at -12.5 Oregon
Arizona at -6.5 UCLA
