Baseball and softball season are starting to ramp up, and the temperatures will be too! For Thursday's 2 PM softball against Southeastern Louisiana, expect beautiful sunny skies. But you definitely want to wear layers out by Chadwick Lake because it is going to be frigid with a north wind. It will feel like it is going to be in the 20s for that matchup.
Friday's contest at the Dude features the Diamond Dawgs taking on the Marshall Thundering Herd. There is a good chance of rain toward the end of the baseball game as a warm front starts to push itself into the Magnolia State. That rain will be cold as temperatures won't exceed the low 40s.
The weekend will be very soggy, but Saturday will see a large warmup due to some warm air coming in from the south and west. A big difference in temperatures for both teams' double headers as the game will be in the 50s and 60s. However, with that warmer weather comes a huge low pressure system dumping rain onto Dudy Noble.
The temperatures will drop slightly on Sunday with a high in the mid-50s. The rain will be moving out of here Sunday, but probably not in time for Vann Stuedeman and Company to take on Penn State at 1 PM. The partly cloudy skies should arrive in Starkville just in time for John Cohen's #14 Bulldog squad to take on Alabama A&M.
