Open Thread: Mississippi State vs. No. 6 Florida

After a tough final game against the Texas A&M Aggies, Mississippi State kicks off its huge weekend series against Florida tonight in a 6:30 start at Dudy Noble Field.  Mississippi State sends Lucas Laster to mound to face off against Florida's Logan Shore.

Mississippi State currently sits three games below .500 in SEC play, and the Bulldogs' post season hopes remain in doubt.  A series win would go a long way to helping Mississippi State salvage the season, and a sweep would help even more.

It all starts with the Friday night matchup against the Gators.
