The Diamond Dawgs take on the Lil black bears of TSUN in Pearl tonight in the final game of the Governor's Cup. The winner leaves town with the trophy. However, more is on the line tonight for the Diamond Dawgs as this is their last contest with a top RPI team in the regular season.

TSUN sends rightie Chad Smith who is 3-3 with a 4.99 ERA to the mound. The Diamond Dawgs start rightie Ryan Cyr who is 1-0 with an 0.00 ERA. This is a lil deceiving as Cyr hasn't thrown for more than 2 innings at any point this season...and there is no likely hood that will change even with the start. Expect the same mishmash of pitchers we have seen at every midweek game this season. The batting order for the Diamond Dawgs is: Mangum, Kruger (C), Lowe, Rooker (DH), Reid H, Collins, Gridley, Cody Brown, & Stoval. We could see Cole Gordon, Holland, Mike Smith, Marrero, or Alexander in later innings tonight.

As the JCL pointed out, we are again without Robson and probably won't see him tonight or the Bama series...though they could use him to run if necessary...but doubtful. The Diamond Dawgs are in an all white uniform for tonight with Maroon outlining the numbers and Miss St logo.
