One of the most anticipated Letters of Intent for this signing class is in, as Tyler, Texas native Fred Ross has signed with Mississippi State.
Ross, the 4-star wide receiver and friend of recent Bulldog Jeremey Chappelle, becomes one of the final Bulldog recruits for the class of 2013 to sign, the school announced today through a statement on coach Dan Mullen's twitter account.
Fred Ross is officially a Bulldog. #HailStateNSD

As we told you last night, Ross was a huge late addition to this signing class. We only found out two weeks ago that Ross took a highly secretive visit to Starkville, and after that, we were kept in silence, as both Oklahoma State -- where Ross was originally committed since February of last year -- and Mississippi State fans sweated it out. There never really was any indication of Ross' potential decision until early Tuesday, when many in the Bulldog recruiting community started to feel like Ross was leaning towards coming to Starkville. He did ultimately decide to cast his lot with Dan Mullen and staff, and becomes a big addition to today's signing class.

John Luke's thoughts
Ross was the first commitment in the class of 2013 for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Dan Mullen and staff, with perhaps the biggest get of the 2013 haul for MSU, was able to pry him away in the final hours leading up to National Signing Day. Ross is an explosive, complete receiver that should prove to be a big asset to the wide receiver corps next Fall.
