Donald Gray commits to MSU

The Memphis standout ended his recruitment and picked MSU on Friday.

Donald Gray committed to MSU on Friday. He has been a name of interest for MSU's recruiting efforts for the last few weeks. Gray is a two way player for Whitehaven High School in Memphis, Tennessee.

Gray is a guy that could come in and play receiver or defensive back for MSU. He could also make an impact on special teams. Gray is 5-10 180 pounds and runs a 4.45 in the 40 yard dash.

Gray impressed MSU this past summer at their camp. He received early offers and interest from programs like Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and even Alabama. Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Arkansas even had early offers on the table, but questionable grades and delayed decision caused those programs to stop actively recruiting Gray. MSU never did. Nebraska also recently offered, but it appears to have been too late, as Gray plans to head to Starkville next fall.

Gray is the 22nd commitment of the 2013 class for Dan Mullen and company and the first from Tennessee.
