Atlanta Area DB Tolando Cleveland flips to MSU

Tolando Cleveland, a long time Georgia Tech commit, committed to MSU after a late push by Dan Mullen and company.

Some late breaking news in regards to MSU's 2013 recruiting class as Tolando Cleveland, a 3-star cornerback out of the Atlanta area, has flipped his commitment from Georgia Tech to Mississippi State

Tolando Cleveland was a guy that MSU was after earlier in the process. He came to a camp and worked out in Starkville over the summer last year. He was offered shortly after the camp; it was his first SEC offer, so naturally, MSU was immediately his leader. Then a month later at a camp at Georgia Tech, he decided to pull the trigger for the local Yellow Jackets.

MSU decided to move on at that time. However, they have stayed on him and kept him warm throughout the process, so it makes sense that he decided to flip to MSU when they recently made a push.

Cleveland [highlights here] is a 5-11 170 pound cornerback from Powder Springs, Georgia. He starred at Hillgrove High School just 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. He had offers from Air Force, Ball State, Navy, Utah State, Georgia Tech, among others.

Cleveland's commitment could have an impact on Mackensie Alexander and will almost assuredly erase the spot that Jahmere Irvin-Sills had. I just feel that MSU got to see Cleveland at their camp and they trust their camp evaluations, and they really like to see guys in camp before they take them. While I'm sure Alexander still has a spot, it seems they might have received bad news from him lately and decided to get the DB they needed. Alexander visited Auburn last week, and this week his twin, Mackenro, is supposed to be at Auburn. It has been rumored that Mackensie will accompany him.
