Last Saturday Mississippi State's Liberty Bowl opponent, the Rice Owls, took down the favored Marshall Thundering Herd 41-24 to win the Conference USA championship. Afterwards amid their post-game locker room celebration, they received their official bowl invitation, and man, were they excited.
