Oxford, AL DE Ulric Jones commits to MSU

After under the radar Oxford, Alabama tight end Trent Simpson committed to Mississippi State almost 3 weeks ago, the MSU coaches knew it probably wouldn't be long before his talented teammate that they were after as well did the same.

That expected commitment came to fruition Sunday as the dogs landed a big commitment (both literally and figuratively) from Simpson's Oxford HS teammate, Ulric Jones. Jones, a 6'6.5", 250 lb defensive end has been considered to be an MSU lean for awhile, but finally made his intentions known publicly.

Jones' commitment gives the Bulldogs 17 oral, non-binding commitments (Kivon Coman and Arimus Samual were reloaded into this class) for the class of 2013.

Ulric held offers from State as well as Arkansas State, Memphis and Troy, but was also receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, and many other top ranked schools.
