AS we saw today Kentucky gave us their best shot. Luckily we were prepared enough to counter and made sure didn't lose. I still think this is a rivalry considering how close these games are but for some reason that's an insult to us(I mean we play them every year eastern division foe why not?) But anyway #1 Kentucky can beat us in basketball since #1 msu beat them in football that's fine with me. Our next game isn't Alabama it is Arkansas set for 6:15 on ESPN2.
Arkansas can run the ball like a boss. As you have seen against Texas Tech, UAB, and NIU they look unstoppable. But then when they play SEC Teams they look OK. They would be a bowl team and a conference championship contender in almost any other conference(BIG). Luckily our front 7 should match up well in this game. Their defense seemed to step up against Alabama only holding them to 14 points(If only Arkansas would've gotten it done). So I think our offense can sore consistently seeing how they looked against Georgia. The good thing about this game is that it is in Starkville and that will be in our advantage. This is the first time (unless something weird happens FSU had a bye) that #1 MSU plays a game in DWS. We might be the first team ever to be #1 in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee Rankings(weird right?).
But again don't worry about rankings. If we are #2 we are #2(we are ripped off if we are lower than this). I mean It really doesn't matter if we are 2 or 1. With that being said Arkansas is going to give its best shot against a top 2 opponent. Like Kentucky they feel that they could've defeated us last year so Arkansas will give it their all. They are a dangerous team and not one to overlook. So I repeat do not look at Alabama look at Arkansas.
I know being a top team all you will want to talk about is the Alabama game but you need to be focused on Arkansas. They are too dangerous to overlook and can beat us if we aren't focused. You can wait a week right?(I mean does MSU need to be focused on UT Martin?). I will be waiting a week to talk about Alabama and previewing it but first thing is first beat Arkansas.
