• Smith continued his torrid start, blocking his second field goal of the season, collecting a game-high two sacks and forcing a fumble for the fourth time in his career all in three quarters of football.

·

• On South Alabama's second possession of the game, Smith blocked his nation-leading second field goal on a 31-yard attempt.

• He tied a career high with two sacks, which was the most by an MSU player since he did it against LSU last season.

• In the third quarter he forced a fumble with USA in the redzone, not allowing MSU to give up a touchdown on the day in a 35-3

victory. The Jaguars managed only 57 yards rushing."
