The Branding of College Football Programs: What Do They Say About Mississippi State
On SI.com, Andy Staples took a look at the efforts of schools such as Tennessee, Oregon and UNLV to build a brand for their college football programs. Who knew that Mississippi State's 2003 season opener against Oregon represented a major change for the Ducks because of those optically painful yellow jerseys? Also included is an interactive map talking about the brand of each Power Five program and what should change with it. Props to Staples and crew for noting that North Carolina State decided to borrow the "Our State" idea.
