The Ray Guy award is presented to the best punter in America each year. The award is voted on by a number of sports writers, coaches, sports information directors, and past Ray Guy Award winners. Mississippi State punter Devon Bell has been named to the national watch list for potential winners of the award. The list included 25 of the best punters from around the nation.
Devon Bell averaged 43.2 yards per punt and had 12 punts of 50+ yards in 2014. Bell was named also named a preseason All-SEC player by Phil Steele.
