Ok, let me start this off by saying, I am not and have never been a Cowboys fan...life long Broncos fan here. However, I am a fan of Dak. When Tony Romo is ready verses medically cleared to play for the Dallas Cowboys, I am not sure if I was the HC or Jerry Jones I would push him back into the starting line-up. I would first have to look at how the team is playing and functioning. The normal rule in the NFL is stick with the hot hand, especially in regards to players coming off major injuries. If Dallas only has 1-2 losses and sit atop the NFL East, why push Romo back? To me it would make more sense to let him heal even further and let Dak keep leading the team. This way you can really ensure a healthy Romo for a play-off run...when IMHO he would be needed the absolute most. Just as important, Romo is 36 years old and oft injured as of late, more disconcerting is these are back & neck injuries. 40 whether folks like it or not is a real cut-off for NFL starting QBs and that is usually guys who have stayed relatively healthy. So are you doing Romo any favors if the team can get into the playoffs without him by putting him in to play if it's unnecessary? To me this is like the situation the Broncos had last season...the switch was made back to the trusty vet when it was absolutely necessary and it worked. I think the Cowboys would be wise to wait to use Romo until it is an absolute necessity for playoff positioning before bringing him back. So what are other thoughts on this situation???
