Billy Gonzales and John Hevesy were the final Mississippi State football coaches to speak today. Here’s everything that the co-offensive coordinators had to say.
On Fred Ross:
"Fred Ross is a smart football player, that frees you up. It allows youy to match him up one on one."

Gonzales says with Ross, you don't have to change anything when he moves around.
— Bulldog Sports Radio (@BulldogsRadio) August 1, 2016
"We need Fred to have another big year." Gonzales. Ross playing other spots frees Malik Dear and Keith Mixon for larger roles.

On other receivers stepping up:
Mullen and Gonzales have both talked about RSFr WR Keith Mixon, each has called him explosive. Still learning, but will find a way to play

Last year Dear was put in position to catch bubbles. "Now he has to be more a threat downfield. I'm expecting him to be a contributor."
— David H Murray (@DawgsBiteMag) August 1, 2016
"Gabe Myles has elite speed. I think we'll be faster when you put Gabe and Donald out there."
— David H Murray (@DawgsBiteMag) August 1, 2016
"We've got to replace the production we lost, so we need (Gray) to step up." MOstly the loss of Bear Wilson of course.

Hevesy: I made a big stress coming out of spring that Dak is not back there, we have take control and ownership.
— Bulldog Sports Radio (@BulldogsRadio) August 1, 2016

"If the 6th best guy is a tackle, he's going to have to learn guard."
