After Elijah Staley announced that he would transfer out of Starkville, there was plenty of speculation as to where the talented quarterback would land. Well, Staley announced on twitter today that he was Tyler, Texas bound to play for Tyler Junior College.

Staley was one of four quarterbacks that was involved in the well discussed battle to try to replace Dak Prescott. Many thought that his athleticism and talent would give him the upper edge in the battle, as there are not many quarterbacks that stand at 6’6” and 250 pounds that can throw the ball all over the field the way he can.

However, things didn’t work out in Starkville for Staley and he’s now on to the next phase of his career. In this day and age, it’s not uncommon for quarterbacks to transfer to a place that can guarantee more playing time, and plenty of schools will likely come calling for Staley’s talents within a year. Good luck and hopefully everything works out for you, Elijah Staley!
