In my 17 years of being a Mississippi state fans I've seen a championship run only once. Morgan William and the ladies made me believe that we could go again. The way these women play is fun.
The way Vic Schaefer hugged Morgan William as tears run down both of their faces showed me what sports are all about. To have fun and compete and make a bond that can't be broken. I may witness Sunday the first national championship of my lifetime, and I can't be happier.
Women's basketball is one of those sports that you always kinda knew we were good in but 5 years ago when Schaefer took this program and turned it around faster than when I see the fresh donut sign lit up at krispy Kream, and that's fast.
The way these girls came together during this season was amazing. After getting murdered last year by UCONN they said no more, and came out tonight and beat them.
This team was destined for greatness from day one. Everyone doubted us but Vic Schaefer and his team never looked up. They didn’t care they no one picked them. Hell, when he got interviewed, he asked people not to pick us.
That's how Mississippi State sports have been. Overlooked, but not anymore.
Morgan William made sure of that. I must say, UConn scared me. Heck, they had a 111 game win streak and this team broke that. As I sit here, eyes watering and all, i just want to say one thing. Praise the Lord and Go Dawgs. Hail State
