Mississippi State and Ole Miss are rivals. That’s pretty clear and straightforward. It’s the Egg Bowl, a rivalry that means more than most. It’s heated, especially during football, basketball, and baseball season (so pretty much year round). And many fans often take the rivalry too far, forgetting that it’s sports.
But last night, Ole Miss fans actually took to supporting the Bulldogs, as Mississippi State looked to make history and end UConn’s streak. Rebel fans were watching the game at City Grocery in Oxford, and Alex McDaniel, the editor of the Oxford Eagle, recorded the celebrations by Ole Miss fans during the game winning shot.

This is cool to see, especially when folks like Shep Smith don’t appreciate some fun rivalry banter.
