In the Coaches' Poll,as one might guess, the SEC stayed well represented.  The Bulldogs' next opponent, Texas A&M; came in at No. 7, and their opponent after the Aggies, Auburn, held down the No. 5 ranking.

Things were not as good for the other Tigers, as Missouri slipped out of the poll, and LSU fell to No. 18.

In all, eight teams from the SEC found themselves in the top-25, with three teams from the SEC West holding on to their top-ten ranking. Ole Miss ranked 11th in the poll, and Alabama came in at No. 2, giving the SEC West six ranked teams.

The AP poll carries quite a bit of SEC Flavor with No. 3 Alabama, No. 5 Auburn, No. 6 Texas A&M;, No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 12 Georgia, No. 13 South Carolina, and No. 14 Mississippi State taking up a spot in the top-15.  LSU checked in at No. 17 to give the SEC eight teams in the top-25.
