The preseason accolades continued Tuesday for the Mississippi State football team, as four players earned All-SEC honors voted on by SEC coaches.
The Bulldogs landed two players on the first team -- quarterback Dak Prescott and defensive lineman Chris Jones. Prescott was also recently named to the preseason All-SEC team by ESPN. The Worldwide Leader only released a first team, and Jones did not make the cut.
However, the coaches did vote on a second and third team, where two MSU defensive players were represented. Senior cornerback Will Redmond was MSU's lone selection on the second team, and defensive end Ryan Brown was voted third team.
After being voted Second Team All-SEC by the media, De'Runnya Wilson was snubbed by the coaches and left off all three teams. Wilson has also already been named All-SEC by Athlon Sports (Second Team) and Phil Steele (Third Team) so that one is a head scratcher.
In all fairness, there are some pretty darn good receivers in this league. Demarcus Robinson (Florida), Travin Dural (LSU), and Josh Reynolds (Texas A&M) were the receivers on the third team, so it's not like De'Runnya was left off for a bunch of no names.
But you would definitely have an argument if you wanted to put him in that mix.
