It was a wonderful day at the ballpark. Bright sunshine filled the skies overhead. No one could pick a better day than to watch their favorite Dawgs in action. 4 pitchers provided a no hitter against the mighty Kent State Golden Flashes. I have to say I like their name: Flashes implies many Flash. Most of you know why so I won't go into it here. it was a great day to be a hitter also. A well rounded win for the now #2 team in the country. I said before that the SEC will look like MLB. The top 4 teams all are SEC.
Some folks on Monday were saying no big deal. A no hitter is a big deal no matter who is playing. Let me ask how many no hitters have you witnessed in person? I've watched baseball for over 50 years and I've only seen 2 no hitters over thousands of games. And for your information they were both thrown by Nolan Ryan. Our Saturday starter needs to watch Nolan's games on Youtube and see how to pitch at 100 miles an hour. If he went up 0-2 on a batter he MAY have wasted ONE pitch outside but after that he would just throw smoke. If you hit it then good for you. Our pitcher? Nibble around the plate. Led to many walks and runs. No sense in that. And the coach needs to step up and call a better game for this particular pitcher.
Until next time heathens..............Shalom
