Former Mississippi State starting SS Keith Fitzhugh has signed on as an Undrafted Free Agent (UDFA) to play for the New York Jets where he will vie for a roster spot.

Terms of contract have not yet been disclosed. When they are released, they will be at this link

Fitzhugh will always be in my mind as a hard hitter and this may be what keeps him in the NFL. He will first have to prove his worth in any way possible, even if it means a position switch. I doubt this happens but it's no doubt something to be aware of. He may only be a special teams player. He has to use his tenacious hits on kick coverage to prove his worth. He has to show he wants it more as he is not guarenteed to be there come august.

Best of luck to you Keith! Represent them Bulldawgs!

On another note, S/RS Derek Pegues still remains unsigned. Hold out hope for another Bulldog to show up on an NFL roster.
