Just curious what the thoughts of the Bulldog faithful are out there. Here are my thoughts, and I say this with no disrespect or contempt towards Coach Mullen:
1. Play the BEST players; a WIN matters more to the program than your loyalty to certain players. This is about WINNING, not about the Seniors getting playtime.
2. When your game-plan isn't working, CHANGE it. Have a ready back-up plan and implement it if needed.
3. Stop keeping players in positions where they are a liability to the team. Case in point? The kick-off returner from last years 10-3 team; you didn't replace him until AFTER he gave up a TD in the Arkansas game...in NOVEMBER, when it was already clear to everyone by the second game of the season in SEPTEMBER that he WASN'T cut out for the job. You're not "proving" anything by consistently keeping our offense deep in our territory to start a drive just because you won't replace one guy.
4. Don't take HALF a game to "adjust". Along with 2 above, when it's obvious your strategy isn't working, digging another 21 point hole before you swallow your pride and change-it-up, is too little, too late.
5. Demand the school at least MATCH the investment TSUN makes in their team. MSU spends $16M per year on it's football program, OM spends $25M, Bama $45M. In the SEC "IF YOU WANT TO WIN, YOU HAVE TO SPEND!"
Just my thoughts...Hail State!
