Jonathan Holder Closer to Major League after being Called up to Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

The former Mississippi State closer finds himself one step closer to Yankee Stadium.

After picking up ten saves in eleven opportunities, former Mississippi State pitcher Jonathan Holder has been promoted to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Holder picked up those ten saves as part of the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the Bronx Bombers.  Holder was leading the Eastern League in saves when called up.

On the season, Holder is 3-1 with the saves in 28 appearances, striking out 59 batters in 41 appearances.
