Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

Tragedy has struck again and Mississippi State has lost another former player this offseason. C.J. Sirmones was murdered last night in Tennessee.

According to a report that has been released since then, a suspect stated that he shot and took Sirmones' life after an argument. The bond for Yancey Williams has been set at $400,000 and he has been arrested on charges of second degree murder.

Sirmones is a Bulldog legend, playing for Mississippi State under Jackie Sherrill back in the late 1990's and will forever be remembered for being wide open in the Egg Bowl.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of C.J. Sirmones. We will update this story as more information comes out.
